Join us in the magical islands in the San Blas. These islands are off the Panama Caribbean coast and home to the indigenous Guna Indians. There are over 340 islands that are covered with sandy beaches and palm trees. The Guna Indians that live these remote islands are very traditional and proud of their heritage; they are happy to let you visit their lifestyle while you are here. In the morning the Guna men paddle to the mainland in their homemade “ulu” which is a dugout canoe, to harvest banana, fruits, firewood, and sugarcane. In the afternoon they fish and snorkel for lobster. The women make money selling “molas”. These are beautiful and colorful hand stitched cloth that you can make into a pillow, placemat or picture frame. Visit a village, snorkel the reefs, sail, paddle board, swim in 90 degree water or just relax.
